I currently have pups available from my in house line/in breeding between Cisco and Angel. Cisco is my tri colored boy known for his ripped muscle structure, unmatched drives, health and temperament. And of course that handsome tri color. Angel is a brindle female with very high defense drives and the same health and temperament.
The goal with this breeding is to isolate the genes and traits from the grandparents of the pups Zeus x Navaeh. These pups full grown will be in the 80-100lb range and a great example of a family/protection dogs. They will have nice muscle on a well balanced athletic frame and will be great looking dogs.
As always I will screen all potential homes for these pups and as always I will NOT sell to a breeder. Family homes or working dog homes only. Pups will be reasonably priced as the goal is not financial gain but to find the best homes possible for each pup. Prices will range from $500-$950 and are based on Co-Own, Family Pet, Registered Dog, etc and discounts will be given to experienced trained homes or working homes. Trained pups both basic and advanced will also be available. Payment plans for the right homes will also be available.

Welcome to Desert Elite Bandogs located in Palm Springs, Ca, home of the “bully bandog” aka The "muscle bandog". The goal with my version of a Bandog is to produce the Ultimate Family Companion/Guard Dog. A physically impressive muscled up Dog with a balanced structure that must also posses a combination of traits one just as important as the other such as excellent temperament, solid nerves, solid health, extreme loyalty, extreme courage, athletisicm and fierce drives to protect/work if needed. Q & A :
What is a Bandog? and especially a Bully Bandog?
Without going into extensive history about a Bandog in short it is a cross between a Pitbull x Mastiff. Many also use other bully breeds such as Mastiff x American Bulldogs, and Boxers to create their version of a Bandog. Originally used in working capacities to hunt, guard, and protect against both small and large game and humans. Most who still breed bandogs do so for a similar more limited capacity such as a family/protection dog. Currently there exists no breed standard, no organized competition, and although there are registries that recognize The American Bandog Mastiff, the term is a widely used name for a dog that is crossed. My dogs have a cross of Mastiff X Pitbull x American Bulldog.
What is a Bully bandog aka Muscle bandog?
My version of a Bandog has many of the same traits as other Bandogs but I emphasize more muscle in a slightly more compact physique. With this combo I am not seeking dogs over 25" tall or dogs that are to "leggy" as my preference is 20"-24". Also I look for a thicker chest and more muscled up rear than most all with a defined waist tuck. Bully does not refer to fat in my case but to more thicker muscle mass. I purposely started this site with pix of my male dogs so the example of what I call a Bully Bandog can be better understood.
How long have you been breeding your type of Bandog? :
My 3rd generation of dogs are currently 14 months and my foundation dogs are 9 years old now. So 9 years in the making. I purposely wait until my dogs are matured enough 2-4 years and able to easily recognize the combination of desired traits I am seeking. A lot of blood, sweat, and tears thru the years with a few bumps in the road but thankfully God has allowed the development of my dogs to be even better than I expected.
The dogs look like they are big in the pix, how big are they?
For a typical Bandog they are not as tall or weigh as much but to most they are big dogs. More importantly is they have a certain "look" to them which gives them an imposing presence. As far as stats my largest male Niko tops at 135lbs and about 120-123lbs conditioned weight. This is on a 24" tall frame. Although because of his build (waistline), muscle tone, and structure he looks just as big as much bigger dogs. My dog Zeus the father of Niko and Cisco ranges 95-105lbs, Their mom Naveah ranges from 92-102lbs, and Cisco ranges from 98-105lbs. All 3 are 20-21" tall. Keep in mind that Niko and Cisco are still noy tey full grown so slight changes in size still may occur until typically 3 years old. So to answer the question a typical Male will be 95-130lbs.
Are you a kennel? or full time breeder?
Let me state for the record that I am NOT a full time kennel and am as of now a small “hobby” breeder. I have a career and a business which currently take up the majority of my time. As a result I have limited time, space, and resources to breed on a regular basis which for now is perfect!! You see as a result I look for reasons NOT TO BREED as opposed to reasons to breed. As a hobby breeder I am forced to follow the quality over quantity approach to breeding along with very strict selective breeding. And I NEVER dictate when a certain breeding will take place if even at all nature and God are in control of that. The proof is that in the 5 years my dogs have been of breeding age, I have bred them twice, 2 breeding's in 5 years. That should show that i am very selective about when I actually do a breeding and why.
So why a Bandog? Why not just own and breed an already established bully breed?
One of my favorite questions. Let me make very clear that I love and appreciate all types of dogs and breeds not just bully breeds and find a particular beauty in all of them. My fondness is to the bully breeds and have owned, worked with, trained with, and competed against on and off in the last 22 years Rotties, Dobies, GSDs, Belgian Malinois, Boxers, Dogos, Cane Corsos, Presas, all types of other Mastiffs, Amercian Bulldog, and my favortie the American Pitbull Terrier. Having said this there currently does not exist a type of pure breed that has the traits I am seeking in a dog. Size being a major facto as I mentioned previously along with temperament and drives. All breeds have positives and negatives for me, by crossing in another breed I am hoping to balance out certain traits by adding in others. Does it always work? No not at all, this is breeding and breeding is never an exact science but I have achieved great results. My dogs carry many of the traits of an APBT with the added size of the Mastiff/Am Bulldog and the more social temperament as well.
So what eaxctly makes the way you "sell" dogs different than others?
This may be the most important question I list here. I do not consider what I do "selling" a pup as opposed to rehoming a pup with a fee. That may sound like fancy semantics but it is true. I do not and will not sell any of my Bandog pups to just anyone. On my previous litter I turned down 15 buyers and many who tripled my asking my price and a couple that offered much more than that. I have also turned down countless requests to Stud my males out for a fee. I am selective because I breed my dogs with a purpose, first and foremost to be amazing family companions. The loyalty and sensitivity that they posses and the bond they develop with their owners is special. Yes all breeds have that ability but I seek a more sensitive dog in relation to its owners. I have had dogs before that had much more of an independence and a slightly less bond/connection with master. I will not breed this trait. So any pup I rehome will be as a family raised and loved companion. Anything less and the pup will not be sold. Also these are big, strong, powerful dogs who NEED and MUST have proper obedience training and socialization in its first few months of life. Those few months will be the foundation for the dog. Every pup will be slightly different but their capacity to please the owner and ability to be trained is high. So this time is critical and anyone who will not make the efforts to follow thru with this will not even be considered as a potential owner. The benefit is that this type of training and socialization as a pup only enhances the bond between pup and owner. Finally I will note that I am very well aware of the image any Pitbull or Bully breed has to the general public. Any buyer who will not raise each pup and adult dog as a fine representative of what these breeds are capable of will not be considered. To that regard I have mainated contact with pretty much every single person who purhcsed a pup from me before even 2 years later. I consider this a team effort and if any buyer/owner ever has any issue with any pup I am here to take te dog back, offer assistance and general support whenever possible. If all the above is n issue and concern then this is not the pup for you. I know the buying process is so much easier with pretty much every other seller.
So when you do a breeding is it just to rehome pups? Do you keep a pup?
The purpose of a breeding is to enhance and improve my version of a Bandog. To better my dogs. So with that said my goal is to keep as many pups as possible. I said before that I am not a full time kennel so the realty is I cannot keep many extra pups. I do like to keep at least 2-3 and keep until about 6-8 months old after I have provided a healthy amount of training. This allows me the opportunity to showcase what my dogs are capable of yet still rehome young enough to bond strongly with its future owner.
Are the breeding dogs health tested? Temperament tested? Are the pups tested?
How much do you sell pups for? Are they expensive?
What I love most about the way I sell dogs is that my "family" dogs could be compared pound for pound with many expensive dogs out there that sell for $3-$5k even more. Yes real quality is not cheap and if someone wants a fully trained older pup, health tested, obedience certified, with protection training as a possibility a pup like that will not be sold cheap. If though someone wants a great family companion and they are willing to consider this a team effort what they will get is a stunning, headturner of a dog that gets attention everywhere they go all for a few hundred dollars. Best part is I am willing for that right home offer a payment plan. If you do not have all the money then you can pay a percentage, take the pup, then make payments at your ability over time to pay off the balance. WHO ELSE DOES THIS? I feel it is the least I can do considering an owner is willing to put up with all my rehoming requirements, lol.
You have intense looking pix of your dogs you posted, do you have any showing them in a calmer light?
